§ Energy
Real-time grid + solar diagnostics.
Smart grid monitoring, solar tracking, and equipment diagnostics measured at the asset.
§ Why edge AI
The case for running it on the asset.
Energy infrastructure is distributed, harsh, and safety-critical. The E1M-AEN handles always-on sensor fusion for substations and solar inverters; the N93 brings TSN Ethernet for IEC 61850-compatible substation networks. Edge AI moves diagnostics out of the SCADA center and onto the asset.
§ The constraint
Substations don't have spare bandwidth for raw telemetry. IEC 61850 requires deterministic, sub-millisecond response. Anomaly detection has to fire before the breaker does.
§ Recommended modules
Pick the AI compute that fits.
E1M-AEN
Always-on AI at sub-1 mW. Cortex-M55 + Ethos-U55 scaling from 250 GOPS (E3/E5/E7) up to 500 GOPS (E4/E6/E8) for wake-word, vibration anomaly, and ultra-low-power sensing.
